February Tip of the Month: 12 lead ECG Interpretation
Introducing the Weekly ECG Challenge!
As part of our ongoing Tip of the Month education initiative, we are excited to introduce the Weekly ECG Challenge to help enhance your ECG interpretation skills.
Each Monday morning, a 12-lead ECG will be posted on our Learning Management System (LMS), along with 4-5 short interpretation questions. You’ll have the week to review the ECG and interpret the rhythm.
At the end of the week, on Friday morning, we’ll post the correct interpretation along with an explanation of key findings, clinical significance, and learning points.
This initiative is designed to:
- Strengthen your ECG interpretation skills
- Reinforce key cardiac concepts
- Improve clinical decision-making in the field
Participation is completely voluntary, but we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to test your knowledge and learn from each case!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to
Week 1:
This is the ECG from a 63-year-old man with chest pain times one hour.
- What is the rhythm?
- Are there findings associated with ischemia? What territory (ies)?
- Are there reciprocal changes? Where?
- What is an additional test that you can perform to confirm your suspicions?
